Reagents A and B in the kit are to provide liver microsomal enzyme cofactors of reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH). The oxidoreductase (POR) is the key electron donor for all liver microsomal enzymes. It transfers electrons to the CYP450 enzyme through the cofactor of NADPH. After the CYP450 enzyme obtains electrons, it undergoes an oxidation-reduction reaction with the substrate to exert its metabolic activity.
